🗿 Step inside the most tiki-decorated condo in Palm Springs! Located in the iconic Royal Hawaiian Estates, this mid-century unit is packed with original tiki details that date back to the building's construction in 1961.
Much of the decor — from carved posts to vintage light fixtures — is original to the unit, making this space a rare and authentic example of true Polynesian Pop architecture and design. Combined with some carefully chosen additions, the result is a fully immersive, transportive tiki experience.
We’ll tour the entire condo, admire the craftsmanship, and chat about what it means to preserve and live inside a piece of tiki history.

To make the La Florida Daiquiri:
1 oz fresh lime juice
1 tsp bar sugar
1 tsp maraschino liqueur
2 oz light Puerto Rican rum
Finger squeeze lime juice over 1 1/2 scoops shaved ice in container of electric drink mixer. Add remaining ingredients. Blend. Pour into chilled tiki stem champagne glass.

Commando Grog by Jason Alexander
.75 oz lime juice
1.5 oz grapefruit juice
.5 oz orgeat
.5 oz cinnamon syrup
.5 oz allspice dram
.5 oz falernum
1.5 oz Plantation OFTD
1.5 oz moderately aged rum
Pour ingredients into mixing tin. Mix on high with one scoop of pebble ice. Served in a brandy snifter.

Ive always enjoyed watching reaction videos, but the idea of creating one for my own channel never crossed my mind... until just a few days ago. Surprisingly, a TV pilot in which I participated over a decade ago resurfaced this week, revealing the origin story of my home tiki bar! Its a bit cringe-worthy to watch – I appear young and awkward on camera, and it basically stars my ex-girlfriend. There are numerous reasons why this might be a questionable idea. However, amidst the awkwardness, its undeniably a fun concept, and I genuinely hope you find it as amusing as I did. I SINCERELY want to know your thoughts about this, so please drop a comment below.

Guess who over-poured and what the ingredient was. It wasnt pretty.
Earlier this week, Pinup Palmer visited The Breezeway to shoot a segment for her Christmas Special. She tasked me with crafting a cocktail, and heres the result: The Spikelikimaka (yes, I know how dumb the name is). Catch her show premiering this Saturday at 2pm PST@pinuppalmer
To make the Spikelikimaka:
1oz lime
3/4oz white grapefruit
1/2oz Aperol
1/2oz amaretto
3/4oz cinnamon syrup
1/4oz ginger syrup
1/2oz all spice
1 1/2oz pot still black
1/2oz 151 Demerara
2 dashes angostura bitters
Shake with ice cubes and double strain into your finest crystal coupe. Dust with grated nutmeg and garnish with two mint leaves and a Luxardo cherry.
