This week on Spike’s Breezeway Cocktail Hour, we’re going alcohol-free — but still keeping it TIKI. With the 4th of July in the rearview mirror (and our livers begging for mercy), it felt like the perfect time to make something on the lighter side. So we’re diving into a real recipe from Trader Vic’s archives: the No Tai Mai Tai, a non-alcoholic version of the classic 1944 Mai Tai, created for those who want the tropical experience without the booze.
Joining me in the Breezeway is my good friend Andrew, a fellow designer and musician. We talk about our time working together at Hurley, some of the wild design projects we tackled, and even our days making music (and noise) in garages and tiki bars alike.
Whether you're taking a break from rum or just curious about Vic’s approach to a "dry" tiki drink, this one’s for you.
