Our camera heads to the Progressive Rail in Minnesota where we get a chance to see their windmill tower movements and operations at the new Cannon Falls industrial park. We see some unique operations the railroad performed in 2010 when PGR was awarded a contract to move windmill towers that were interchanged with the Canadian Pacific in Northfield to the PGR’s industrial park tracks in Randolph. You will be amazed watching these small SW1500’s pulling these massive loads. From there, the windmill towers were stored on a lot before being trucked to various places across Minnesota and Iowa. Moving to the summer of 2011, we watch as the PGR serves the new Cannon Falls industrial park. This new business reopened the ex-Chicago Great Western line from Randolph to Cannon Falls.
