Hey everyone! March's Hat of The Month is inspired by another Disney Channel movie, Cloud 9. Along with quite a lot more hats in the movie this one really stood out to me with it's bright color and sparkly accent rows. I hope you guys like this one as much as I do.

Items Used:
Clover Interchangeable Bamboo 16" circular needle size 6 (4mm)
Baby Bee Sweet Delight Yarn in Baby Gold (4oz, 3ply light, 377 yrds) 1 ball
Yarn Bee Fetching Yarn in Citrine (3.5oz, 4ply med, 280 yrds) 1 ball (accent color)
Acrylic Flowers (optional, stud may be used here)
Stitch Markers
Tapestry Needle
Sewing Needle & Thread (matching or clear)

Gauge:
23 sts & 29 rows = 4" in st st

Size:
Average adult 20"
(will fit preteen 19" to adult 22")

German Twist Cast On:

Instructions:
With contrasting yarn, cast on 120 sts.
Work 1 row in contrasting color, then switch to main color and work 5" or 35 rows of your 1x1 rib.

NOTE: To form a tighter rib, wrap your k sts over, instead of under and wrap your purl sts under not over. From every row on you will be working through the back loop of your sts. If you prefer you can do a regular rib.

1x1 Rib: *K1, P1; rep from * around.

Work stockinette st (st st) till piece measures 10" from cast on edge, or 35 rows.

NOTE: Remember we're working in the round so to work st st we knit every row.

Decreases:
Row 1: *K22, K2tog; rep from * around - 115 sts
Row 2, 4, 6 & 8: Knit
Row 3: *K21, K2tog; rep from * around - 110 sts
Row 5: *K20, K2tog; rep from * around - 105 sts
Row 7: *K19, K2tog; rep from * around - 100 sts
Row 9: *K18, K2tog; rep from * around - 95 sts
Row 10: *K17, K2tog; rep from * around - 90 sts
Row 11: *K16, K2tog; rep from * around - 85 sts
Row 12: *K15, K2tog; rep from * around - 80 sts
Row 13: *K14, K2tog; rep from * around - 75 sts
Row 14: *K2tog; rep from * to last st, K1 - 38 sts
Row 15: *K2tog; rep from * around - 18 sts

Cut yarn and pull top of hat tight. Weave in all ends. Add your jewels and enjoy!

Here are the letter sizing that works with needles. Hook = Needle E = 4 F = 5 G = 6 H = 8 I = 9 J = 10 K = 10 1/2 Crochet Cast On Instructions: Make a slip knot on crochet hook. Hold yarn and knitting needle in left hand and crochet hook in right hand. With yarn behind needle, go over the needle with hook and grab yarn, pull through slip knot on hook. Also, can see this as working a single crochet over needle. Take yarn between needle and hook, to the back and repeat. Working a single crochet over needle and draw through loop on hook. Placing yarn between hook and needle to back. Repeat until one less amount of stitches needed are cast on. Slip remaining stitch on hook, onto needle. Repeat Row 1 for 1 1/2 For the Body of our hat were going to continue in stockinette (knit every row in the round) until the piece measures 4 from cast on edge. Roughly 17 rows. Switch to your chosen color and continue in stockinette for 1 to 1 1/2 more. About 8 rows. Work 2 more rows in your green yarn.
