AI is rapidly changing the music industry, and many producers, songwriters, and artists are asking the same question: *Where do we draw the line with AI music tools?*
In this video, I share my honest thoughts on *AI in music production* including what tools I think are acceptable and which ones might cross the line creatively. From *AI mixing and mastering tools* to *AI-generated songs, lyrics, and melodies* the debate around artificial intelligence in music is getting bigger every day.
As a songwriter and music producer, I talk about how I personally approach AI. For example, I’m open to using certain *AI-powered audio tools* like smart EQs, compression, or mastering assistants, but I’m not interested in using AI to generate full songs, melodies, or lyrics. To me, those parts are the heart of songwriting.
We’ll also talk about topics like:
• AI-generated music and full AI songs
• AI lyric writing and melody generation
• AI mastering and mixing tools
• AI vocals and virtual singers like Synthesizer V
• How AI could affect music licensing, sync placements, and the music industry
• The debate around AI copyright and ownership
• Creative uses of AI for artwork, videos, and music content
AI can be an incredibly useful tool for *music producers, composers, and artists* but it also raises big questions about creativity, authorship, and the future of music.
So the big question is: *Where do YOU draw the line with AI in music?*
