Just as rice harvest 2019 starts in Brazil we suffer a tractor breakdown. I visit my favorite farming family in Joinville, Brazil on there second day of rice harvest. Perhaps I bring a little bad luck because their harvest combine breakdown--just as I had mentioned that we suffered several tractor breakdowns downs during our 2018 rice harvest.

Fortunately during the down time I meet a neighboring rice farmer and his family; who are also harvesting rice. I spend a little time riding around on their equipment.
