In this Harry’s razor review, I compare these Harry’s 5 blade razors against the razor brand I normally use, which is the Bic Flex 5. I wanted to use both brands multiple times before giving my final opinion, so I ended up using each razor eight times during this test.
My first impression was actually mixed. At first, I did not think the Harry’s razor felt quite as comfortable on my neck area as the Bic Flex 5 that I’ve been using for a long time. However, once I got used to the way the Harry’s razor flexes and contours to the face, I started liking it much more.
One thing I noticed is that the Harry’s razor seemed to remove a good amount of hair in a single pass, and I also liked the way the razor head followed the shape of my face. Over time I found that I could apply slightly more pressure without irritating my skin, which helped produce a closer shave.
After testing both brands side by side, I would say they both perform very well overall. The Harry’s razor is slightly more expensive per cartridge, which is worth considering, but I can honestly say I ended up liking it quite a bit.
At this point, I would probably still continue using the Bic Flex 5 mainly because of the lower cost per blade, but I think the Harry’s razor does an excellent job and could easily become someone’s preferred razor depending on what they like in a shave.
