The Advanced Baseline Imager on NOAA’s GOES-17 weather satellite caught the launch plume from South Korea’s GEO-KOMPSAT-2A satellite launch Dec. 4, 2018. GEO-KOMPSAT-2A also includes a Harris advanced-class imager, which will provide high-resolution weather monitoring images in Asia.
