New Harris ABI GOES-16 sensor shows early indication and formation of large-scale vortex leading to March 28-29, 2017, tornadoes and severe weather in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and Oklahoma. New infrared bands from the Harris sensor are used to continuously monitor the storm both day and night. Preliminary, non-operational data.
