HARMONIC, a SESAR 3 project led by the EUROCONTROL Innovation Hub with the involvement of 17 partners, focuses on enhancing air traffic demand and capacity balancing.
Every day, flow managers, senior controllers, and network operators work together to balance air traffic, crucial for flight timeliness and passenger experience. HARMONIC aims to provide them with advanced tools and decision support for efficient air traffic management as traffic grows.
The project includes two solutions. The Enhanced Demand Management solution addresses situations where demand exceeds capacity, introducing tools for informed decision-making with enhanced stakeholder coordination as well as the exchange of business needs and operational constraints.
The Enhancing DCB Efficiency: Advanced DAC Process solution focuses on capacity provision, offering data-driven insights to optimise airspace utilisation as well as on civil-military cooperation, providing enhanced information services for dynamic airspace reservations.
