Discussing ATC #simulator modernisation with #ANSPs ✈️ at #EIH the EUROCONTROL Innovation Hub's 💡 Simulation Day event.
The Simulation Day saw representatives of 14 of Europe's air navigation service providers (ANSPs) visit the EIH on 2-3 April for an event aimed at:
🗣️ raising awareness of Steer(in), our ATC simulator modernisation project covering en-route, #TMA & #airport operations
📝 gathering ANSP inputs on their needs & expectations
👩🏻💻 discussing how to develop a highly realistic, open & modular real-time simulator
🤝 promoting intra-community collaboration.
🎙️ To ensure that ANSPs play a crucial role in shaping simulator design & priorities, we gathered their views before the event, with the event proving an ideal opportunity to discuss results & gather additional ideas.
The programme also included:
📌 Panels on R&D needs, new simulation services, collaboration & interoperability
📌 A tour of simulation facilities & demos, followed by a networking event
📌 Workshops focusing on the usability of the simulator, addressing automation & AI facilitation, scenario preparation & results analysis.
