This is how the New Year festivities started tonight in Akureyri, north Iceland, a town with a population of 20.000.and i will of course film the midnight show as well and this time with a better drone than ever so you are in for a treat when i process that files. $25 million M3 of Magma on Hold by Grindavik - Earthquakes in South Iceland Never before has such a large amount of magma accumulated by Grindavik and the Blue Lagoon so an eruption looks inevitable right now since, or at least while the ground uplift continues. The south Iceland fracture zone is however a separate, but maybe a related story and i found a few surprises when after the earthquakes, giving me a reason to go after more footage and delve even deeper into this well know earthquake zone.
