I had to try this map after seeing so much complaining about it. :^) Honestly, it's my map of course, but I thought this run was pretty fun. :) I'm not necessarily amazing at any part of this map, but I mean, the map was made to be reasonably difficult, I didn't really even intend for anyone to try it single segment, much less what is now like 5-6 people? But even so, IMO, it's fair and balanced, just needs some practice. :p
The start AVJs were quite inconsistent at first, and I probably got thru them once every 20-40 attempts at first, but by the end of my grind, I was getting runs past them like every few attempts, and that's with the occasional reset for a particularly slow vile. The next fight, I would actually die at more often than I would like; I chalk it up to skill issue, I'm just not great at combat, especially this sort of fight where things come from every direction. I think the fight turned out well, though, along with the AVJs, it does add some time variance.
I lost a ton of attempts to my insistence on W keying the upside down platforming; eventually, I got a bit better at that by figuring out the right straferuns that make it most consistent, but this approach is never fully consistent. The AVJs afterwards are also harder than they look because you really need to be on the edge not to hit the ceiling, which I usually would mess up simply by being dumb.
Cybers were the scariest part towards the end, as running around them can be quite dangerous if they are close to the wall. It was fairly disastrous in this run, but I survived, heh. Viles can cook you too, if you run out of balance of peeking out so they stop moving and hiding, I actually got closer to death than I would have liked here, but survived. Pretty slow ending, a good time would be somewhere below sub-3:30.
