BrickLink Designer Program's Series 8 is about to go up for pre-order. To help LEGO pirate fans decide what set to pick up, here's a review of Coconut Cape.
Where previous BDP pirate sets have been big on spectacle but occasionally difficult to construct, this set foregoes a level of detail in favour of open spaces suitable for play, and a far simpler build process that feels relaxed and joyful. This is the first BrickLink Designer Program pirate set that would work very well as a wider LEGO release, and is suitable for fans of all levels of experience with LEGO, as well as being better-suited to play than some previous BDP sets.
