In this video, I test the Hanboost C1 ultrasonic cutter on 3D printed plastics: PLA, PETG and ABS.
I was especially curious about the cutting mechanism itself â is the material being cut mainly by heat, or do ultrasonic vibrations play the bigger role? To better understand this, I also measured the temperature during cutting and used a thermal camera to observe whatâs really happening at the blade.
The video includes different cutting scenarios, from simple cuts to support removal, and even a few extra tests for comparison.
