This was inspired by the instagram edit I made to this song, which was not too long ago I believe? I figured, why not make it a full edit instead? :D
I wanted to highlight the more "fun" side of both couples, or at least what we could've gotten with Ben and Rey. While making this, I skimmed through mainly the original trilogy. I've been editing a whole lot of Ben and Rey, so I kind of had to go back and find more parallels that I can tie back to Han and Leia. Looking through the movies again, I obviously didn't forget Han's sarcasm, but I was reminded of how dry and done with life he really was, which was always amusing about his character. It made me realize that Ben definitely would've had that "done with life" kind of attitude as well, and i wish we could've seen that!!
They also all had this consistent "im just gonna fling myself into danger and improvise from there" kind of plan. And sometimes they literally FLING themselves. I'm not even joking. It also pretty much sums them up. Idk, it's amusing to me, and also sweet? Haha.
I guess putting Han's quote, "I know," into context, saying it to Ben was like a reassurance of the hardships of love, and especially life. This one exchange was forgiveness and understanding all at once. Of everything that's become of all of their lives.
