In this video we take a ride on Hamilton Street Railway’s route 18 Waterdown Mountaineer, which runs north west and south east between Aldershot Go station & the Waterdown Walmart. Route 18 runs 7 days a week, almost 20 hours a day. The route uses 30 foot transit buses, but on some occasions uses 40 foot buses as can be seen in this video.
0721 is a 2006 New Flyer D40LF and is part of a 22 unit order (0701-0722) These units are powered by a Cummins 8.3L 280HP 6 Cylinder Turbocharged EPA2004 Diesel Engine (ISL) and a ZF 6HP 592C 6 Speed Automatic transmission. These units ride on MAN Drive Axles, and have driver controlled heating and cooling for both driver and passengers. These buses also feature American Seating Innovator 850 seats for the passengers.
