In this video we take a ride on Mississauga Miway’s route 2 Hurontario, which runs north and south between Miway’s City Centre Transit Terminal & Port Credit Go Station. Route 2 runs 7 days a week 24 hours a day, and is based out of Miway’s Central Parkway Garage. This route uses 40 foot, and 60 foot transit buses.
0638 is a 2006 New Flyer D40LFR and is part of a 53 unit order (0601-0653). These were the first fleet of D40LFR’s purchased by Mississauga Transit, and are currently in the process of retirement. These units are powered with a Cummins 8.3L EPA04 Diesel Turbocharged engine (ISL) and a 4 speed automatic Voith DIWA-864.3E transmission. These units have American Seating Model 6468 seats, and driver controlled heating and cooling.
