Happy Halloween!
I tried to remix the classic theme from the Halloween movie franchise in the style of a final boss theme and I'm very happy with how it came out. It makes a good counterpart to the Friday the 13th remix I did last year.

Its been way too long since I made a Chrono Trigger cover! Frogs Theme has always been particularly excellent imo, Im a big fan of pitch bends.
I couldnt get the pattern data to fit on screen, so I thought as an experiment, Id record the registers instead. Not quite as much movement but hopefully interesting enough.

One of my resolutions for 2019 was to give my videos more motion and not just use a still image the whole time so it would be more interesting to look at, so what youre seeing is a really really really sloppy attempt at a speedrun. Fortunately, the video fades out before you get to see me get stuck on the dungeon door three times and rage quit. :)

2) They recent announced Mega Man X Legacy Collection which will have all 8 main MMX games, and its on the Switch so theyre portable now!

So, one of my oldest MMX-style covers is my cover of Time Mans theme from 2011. It has a decent number of views, but Im not really happy with how it sounds even for as inexperienced as I was. Not to mention the fact that its an instrument swap of King Meteors MIDI and not my own arrangement.
So I felt like making a new version of the song, one thats my own arrangement and designed to better fit the Mega Man X style.

This has been one of my back-burner cover ideas that Ive had for a few months now, and I finally decided to make it.
Mostly pretty faithful to the original, but I added some noise in some of the quieter parts to simulate wind blowing through the leaves.
For some reason, the recording came out kinda choppy and washed out. Dont know why, but I didnt feel like re-recording it.

I used to be kind of indifferent to the this version of Tengu Mans theme, but after I played through the Sega Saturn version of Mega Man 8 recently, it kinda grew on me.
Mostly Im curious why they gave him a different theme at all?

Ever since the Workshop Pack dropped last month, Ive been getting back into Rivals big-time (Pomme is such a fun character!), and its really made me want to cover another song from the game.
Fires Last Hope seemed like a good fit for an 8-bit rendition. Certain little things in the song were difficult to extrapolate, but I tried to at least fudge it in a way that sounds natural.
