I used to be kind of indifferent to the this version of Tengu Man's theme, but after I played through the Sega Saturn version of Mega Man 8 recently, it kinda grew on me.
Mostly I'm curious why they gave him a different theme at all?

Ever since the Workshop Pack dropped last month, Ive been getting back into Rivals big-time (Pomme is such a fun character!), and its really made me want to cover another song from the game.
Fires Last Hope seemed like a good fit for an 8-bit rendition. Certain little things in the song were difficult to extrapolate, but I tried to at least fudge it in a way that sounds natural.

I heard a song in Wal-Mart yesterday that sounded a lot like Flash Mans theme but I havent been able to identify it. However, it did inspire me to make this.

Believe it or not, this song has been on my back burner for 11 years... better late than never, I suppose.

Somebody in the comments of the OST video Sega posted said that this song sounded kinda like a Mega Man song and I thought yeah maybe a little bit so I made this remix.
Because I had to rely completely on my ear to do this, I had to take a few liberties / fudge stuff I couldnt figure out. Also I made it loop prematurely because it fades out in the video and instead of trying to figure out where the song goes after that I figured screw it.
And of course, credit to Kevicus on Newgrounds for the Sonic Character Creator used for the thumbnail.

Theres a few different versions of this song but the DRMBM version is still my favorite for how hard it goes. Really adds some intensity to a game about stacking goo!
