Halling with Hallgrim - a master class in lausdans.
Laus is a old norse word meaning "free", and it's used in lausatak (free wrestling) and lausdans (improvised and free dancing). In FRIKAR dance company our vision is to give people a liberating experience with dance. To go frikar is an ancient expression of "free yourself". This is the basis upon we create new dance pieces.
Today I invite you to prepare your body for impulsive dancing- the liberating way of dancing in a berserkr mode.

Fire is best for the children of Earth. And the sight of Sun gives good health. Having this, one get lust for living.
Hallgrim Hansegård is a internationally acclaimed choreographer and multiple national champion of halling dance. He learnt by the elders born in the 1920's and has extended his research to archaeological findings and ancient scriptures. Hallgrim has also studied similar traditions worldwide including 4 months in a Chinese kung fu temple, international yoga teacher education in India and multiple collaborations with capoeiristas in Brazil. He is also the leader of FRIKAR X, a national talent program for movement artists supported by the Norwegian state.
