Opposite to "Blast pit" chapter in original HL, this is a lot easier, because you can skip destroying the creature. But to do this with no dmg, you need to get to highest catwalk, walk across, turn 90 degrees & continue moving forward (If you need, tap left, but not too much, or else you'll hit the pit worm). Then jump to completion.
Also you need to break the vent grid with a weapon at the beggining, or else breaking it with your mass will damage you.
