PlayStation continues to struggle with their live service initiative as we have another update for one of their games and this time its Horizon Hunters Gathering. Seems like theyre actually taking OUT the live service part? And most of Guerrilla is working on it? Which that was similar to Naughty Dog and TLOU Online as well. So we cover up all that. We also have Sonys CEO Hiroki Totoki talking about PS6 and how they havent decided a release date yet. Hmmm. That sounds about right. Elsewhere in the week we have some PS Plus Premium delistings, a Marvels Wolverine backlash, PS5 hardware sales, more physical media sales data, the Phantom Blade Zero State of Play, Black Myth Zhong Kui, Kingdom Hearts 4, AND DAVE BAUTISTA. This week on LTPS weve been seeing some issues going on with PS3 streaming on PS Plus Premium on PS5 consoles directly. Its been days and still not fix! Just yesterday we also had the Xbox Developer Direct and we got some news for Forza Horizon 6 and Fable! Turns out yes, Fable is coming to PS5 day and date. Then there was the massive Ubisoft restructure and cancellations. So thats par for the course with that publisher. Then we have some Marathon pre-order details, and lots of third party rumors and news stories. Anyone excited for Highguard? Cause you can play it soon! If you actually care about that. I might give it a shot. Actually no Id probably play Kiln before Highguard.

This week Sony has sent out a new PS5 system software beta that adds a much needed QoL feature to the DualSense but also a new power saving feature. And if you recall, this was a low power mode that might well be used in the future for a portable PS5 or PS6! So thats interesting.. This week we got the clearest picture of what Cory Barlogs next game is at Santa Monica Studio and it appears to be a game in the God of War universe with Faye as the protagonist! Interesting premise no doubt, but theres some debate going on for sure. We also just yesterday had Microsoft confirm that yes, the next-generation Xbox will play PC games. Its codenamed Project Helix, and it sounds EXPENSIVE. We also got some additional context on the Bloodborne & Bluepoint story, details for PSSRs big update, and Sony walking away from PC single player games. Which by the way, they launched Marathon yesterday and that so far is actually doing pretty well! Whats not doing well is Highguard, thats getting shutdown. Oh, and more God of War Amazon casting reveals. That picture they released was.. interesting? Im no Ryan Hurst, but that bald cap stuck out. Maybe I should go bald. (Nah, Im on fin right now).
