Half a Band is a musical project by multi-instrumentalist Olivier Bonnot, based in Le Puy-de-Dome. The music developed within the framework of this project reflects Olivier's taste for “cinematic" rock: preference is given to an ethereal atmosphere, where several layers of analog keyboards, airy guitars and drums with odd metrics often coexist. Half a Band's music is difficult to classify, but it does have obvious connections to post-rock, progressive rock, and psychedelic rock.
