hack::soho is a monthly event hosted at our London, UK office for the cybersecurity and hacking community to discuss all things security over food and refreshments. We welcome you to invite others in your circle to extend our collective network.
ABSTRACT
The talk will discuss vulnerability in 4G VoLTE networks, in particular the need to monitor and secure the information exchanged between devices and the network given the increased levels of information provided by the tech. I'll detail the O2 vulnerability as an example of what poor management and oversight of a VoLTE network looks like, and explain why such an issue can occur.

I work in IT but have always been one to tinker and bend computers to my will. I've operated my own 2G / 4G networks through Ofcom's Shared Access Licensing programme in the past using SDRs, and enjoy research into the intricacies of modern LTE / NR networks.
