This was the last railroad crossing I recorded on September 14, 2025. After recording Truse Parkway in Memphis, I decided to go back down to the BNSF Birmingham Subdivision for changes, and then to end the day before I make the 3 hour journey back home via Interstate 40, I decided to see if I can wait for any train on this line, since the BNSF Birmingham Subdivision isn't as busy as I think it is, and is a wildcard for any trains that could be coming. I set up, got recorded, and a few minutes into recording nothing... the crossing activated. An eastbound BNSF coal freight slowly comes across, and thus, makes it the first time I ever recorded a crossing on the Birmingham Subdivision! Then I went home after this, happy that I got 3 crossings recorded in the Memphis area, while also recording an incandescent BNSF crossing, which is becoming rarer and rarer these days on any BNSF line in general.
Crossing info:
Signal on the left: 8 - 12"x24" Safetran incandescents, a US&S Model 95 Style 1 gate mechanism, 4" NEG LED gatelights, and a General Signals Type 2 E-Bell.
Signal on the right: 8 - 12"x24" Safetran incandescents, a US&S Model 95 Style 1 gate mechanism, 4" NEG LED gatelights, and a General Signals Type 2 E-Bell.
