So yes, I do think manual is faster here, unless a major new strat is found for automatic(like a different shroom spot). Nonetheless, I'm quite happy with this run, this track is some of the worst QM hell I've had to deal with but it turned out pretty good regardless.I don't know about 3 laps, once again, I think it could potentially beat the current BKT but manual is probably still better. I will see if I have the motivation do the 3 lap one day.I worked on the entire lap, Lucas helped on the bridge and first boost panel(and a bit on the last waterfall), Kierio did the Kierio improvement on the last turn/straightaway. It has no other restrictionI wanted to give this a shot, although, the lack of tools to do so makes it really hard to optimize du to MKWWatch doesn't work on this dolphin version(which is required to play this mod), and the lack of racing against a ghost(yes, this uses the movie function to replay). So I might just wait for ghost support for Tournament Museum(used here, credits to the creator btw!) before doing serious runs on this(but hey, at least it's possible to TAS them!). I also accidentally did this on 50Hz so this is why the framerate of the video is a bit wanky lol

The difference of speed is very small between wheeling or not, if you were on a straight line, it would take you slightly less than 37 frames to actually lose 1 millisecond! Therefor, taking tighter lines and doing some "wiggling" to push you more forward is better in a lot of cases. I have to say, the boost panel section is very counter-intuitive yeah.Q: Is going on the right at the start of the boost panel section faster?A: Yes, by around ~0.030ish something(per lap). I found this very randomly because I was curious on how much I would lose by going there on lap 3 due to the truck, and I noticed I was going ahead of my ghost lol. Even not doing this entirely optimally is very easy and still faster for RTA users.Q: Is triple trick not faster?A: Well, I experimented a bit with it, but coming down from the hill cut made it way less viable so I couldn't get anything faster out of it personally. Marth later took a look and managed to find a way to make it faster by around ~0.02-3, you can see it here: streamable.com/9ahtux (I'm however not gonna remake that TAS over this, at least not alone)Q: Is the hill cut faster?A: Yes, by around 0.080 I would say, very TAS only though.Q: Is going on the right at the end of the lap faster or not?A: It is slower by 0.004 (or around 0.010 for lap 3), however, it is required on lap 3 due to the truck blocking you from going to the left. It is faster for lap 2 because the truck blocks you a bit (forcing you to break the wheelie) when doing the hill cut on lap 3.Q: Isn't going inside the truck on lap 2 u-turn faster? Also couldn't you took it tighter?A: Going inside is slower BY A LOT because 1: you need to slow down, 2: you end up so much to the right and your alignement is absolutely terrible for the bridge. And no, this is as tight as you can take it, the hitbox of these trucks are much bigger and kinda wacky tbf.Q: Why are you breaking your wheelies just before the bridge?A: Doing chain wheelies do not make you lose speed unless you're above 95.4km/h. This allows me to turn more in wheelies on lap 2 for example but it also delay the chain to be right before the boost panel (basically making it irrelevant).

[MKWii TAS]Heart of China - 137345 Estaloy62 2021-01-06 | So in early.... 2020 kekw, I started TASing Heart of China for a second time (I made a first TAS on it in January 2017 which found a new way to the shortcut at the time), with the plan of making the shortcut with only one shroom (I saw it, iirc in RS compilation, although the method was very slow). I managed to do it with a first method (which came to be used legit and by Nokky), but right after, I found a much more better strat, he showcased in this run. But this method is really annoying to do (of how the ramp physic is, and is heavily QM based) so it didn't help me motive myself to finish the run. Then, I had some EPIC music ideas, and saw those Nokky TASes, so I decided to finish my runs to show an actual TAS.Lap 1 is definitively the worst lap, quite a few things are done wrong and can be improved. Lap 2 is good, the shortcut could have been. Lap 3 is obviously the best lap, I think the shortcut strat is the best here. [MKWii TAS]GCN Wario Colosseum - 115128 Estaloy62 2020-09-07 | Damn WR, you suck, I just beat you by more than 32 seconds!Anyway, this TAS isn't entirely optimized(because, I'm not enough into TASing to do this kind of things nowadays), I just wanted to show some strats and notably the new glitch strat I found for lap 2(and also, uploading a finished TAS for once).I started TASing this again today with the idea of going behind the wall after the last ramp so you could directly do the glitch from there. However, it ended being more difficult than I thought and I couldn't do it(though, it might be possible).But I noticed that you could avoid the OOB area and land back down there. With that in mind, I thought you could maybe do the respawn glitch from there without doing all the shenanigans at the start of the lap(like the legit WR do). And it ended up possible! The lap count is, however, very precise, as you need to hit the finish line at a certain lap completion if you want it to count the lap (so I think it's 95% rule based) and also avoiding touching the checkpoint 1 which is right after the finish line. This glitch makes you lose ~2.5 seconds on lap 1, but saves a massive ~5 seconds on lap 2, so it saves ~2.5 seconds overall.I believe a 1'13 could be done with a couple of new strats and better lines (I really don't know how to do that part from 1:08 till 1:30 so I ended up with this strats which might not be optimal at all for example), but I'm done with this.Music: youtube.com/watch?v=mnVKHBqX-vM

THE RUN, YES, the one where I didnt fail like an idiot Estaloy62 2020-05-23 | After one billion and a half fails on lap 3, I finally did it...Now I (FINALLY) have 2nd World Wide, European record, Wiichuck BKT and no luckwheelie BKT... All of this ranks are obviously very, very important because it's a Custom Track!To be serious for a second, the run was strong until 1:43 where completely killed lap 2. Lap 3 was kinda ok, some mistakes here and there but thank god, I didn't fail it so that's what make this lap amazing LULI did a run 30 minutes before that one, a 3'14"168 where I was ahead from 1:52 compared to this run, but I got very unlucky at the exit of the canon on lap 3 where I ended in the offroad. I'm gonna stream tonight to, but not glitch (so I can practice a bit more the lap 3). This session was quite good considering the number of shortcut I manage to did but sadly, I couldn't even PB. My goal here isn't BKT as I don't have the potential to do, but I want to get 2ndWW/ER/mid 3'13 as I have the potential for it (as you can see with this run where I lost around 1 second every time on lap 3).
