Learn how to rig a fully functional revolver from scratch using Blender and Unreal Engine Control Rig. In this video, we go through the entire process, from analyzing and preparing the model, building a clean bone structure, and handling mechanical skinning, all the way to creating an efficient Control Rig setup.
We’ll cover key concepts like rotation constraints, avoiding gimbal lock, FK-based workflows, and two different ways to drive mechanical behavior using Remap nodes and Spherical Pose Readers (RBF). Finally, we bring everything to life with a quick animation using Manny, showing how easy it is to animate both character and prop together.
