Small LiPo battery cells don't last as long as you might think, especially when they are permanently connected to a circuit that is keeping them fully charged, or if they are left to self-discharge when being unused.
I had forgotten a few drone finder autonomous buzzers in a project box for a while so my example may be extreme - the batteries had all been depleted, discharged down to 0V. But a simple maintenance, like this battery replacement, may be something you want to consider if you rely on your self-powered buzzer to get your quad back…
