I didnt embrace any civilians, but I had enough XP from common enemies and quests, so in most fights Im only slightly underleveled. And with upgraded weapons you can still do a lot of damage.
There isnt that many weapons and vampire abilities, and I only used some of them in the video. Not all of them were useful for me.")

In Katana Zero any hit will kill you, but some of the bosses have checkpoints, where you can continue the fight after dying. The bosses themselves doesnt have much health and will go down very quickly if you know what to do, which is kinda unfortunate. The second form of a secret final boss has an amazing music, but I killed it before the best part starts playing.")

Weve got another fresh metroidvania. I really like this one - it kinda reminds me about NES castlevanias but with mechanics from older CV games. Theres even a character who uses whip-like weapon and throws axes - in case if you want to feel like Simon Belmont.
Though there is one thing which I dont like. This game has a fairly big map and most of the time you cant proceed without reaching some switch or finding an alternative way into the room. This whole tower is a big labyrinth. I see nothing wrong with that if its done in moderation, but if I have to find the right way every couple of rooms - it gets annoying real quick.")

Nightmare mode with no leveling up can be a tough challenge, but it gets easier as you progress. Earlier game is harder, since you dont have many options to increase your stats or use elements the bosses are weak to.
You cant level up, but you can still increase HP, Aura and Sand bars with potions and some enemies drop very good gear. And you can still increase the levels of your orbs, making them stronger.")
