sn0wsh00 | GTA V - Giant rocket and grenade explosions mod @sn0wsh00 | Uploaded August 2018 | Updated October 2024, 8 hours ago.
This video shows off the effects of modifying two variables related to explosions in GTA V: endRadius and Scale.
EndRadius, located in explosion.ymt, is explosion's effect radius, probably measured in meters. Scale, located inside explosionfx.dat, controls the visual size of the explosion/fireball, which, in this video, are EXP_VFXTAG_ROCKET for RPGs and homing launchers and EXP_VFXTAG_GRENADE for the sticky bomb.
0:00 Default RPG (endRadius = 5, scale = 10.0)
0:25 endRadius = 50, scale = 10.0
0:57 endRadius = 500, scale = 100.0
Other values in explosionfx.dat were copied from the Nuke Railgun mod:

If you're wondering, yes, these explosions are probably comparable to actual nukes. The default RPG fireball has a radius of about 1.6 m. Therefore, if we're treating the rocket like a nuclear weapon, the yields for the 50 endRadius and 500 endRadius explosions are about 73t and and 25kt respectively, based solely on the fireball. However, the effects radii, as defined by endRadius, are much smaller than what would be expected for nuclear weapons of those yields.
