Welcome to my new guide on Special Vehicles. The first special vehicle to be seen is the EC Teal Kuruma, the first vehicle the player would drive. Obtaining it is easy, just by passing the two missions "Give Me Liberty" and "Luigi's Girls", then you can store it in a garage. In order to keep the Kuruma, and keep the Portland garage unoccupied, you can glitch yourself to Shoreside Vale and store it on that island. This game has the two islands locked at the start, except for the safehouses. They are fully functional, at the beginning.
I also convert the Kuruma into DP (Damage-Proof), and show two methods depending on what version you play on. The first method I show is aimed towards players who own the Android and iOS, but works on all platforms and versions if you'd like to use it. Using a passenger that is featured in a mission, (for example Misty from "Luigi's Girls") you can use them to convert most vehicles into DP. The second method works on PS2, Xbox and PC, since you can keep the Taxi Driver side mission from starting until you get in your vehicle which you want to convert. Holding the submission button, then leaving the taxi to get into your vehicle will start Taxi Driver in any vehicle. Using a passenger from Taxi Driver requires you to hold the button during the conversion process, where you take the passenger out of the seat.
While the vehicle is in a state where it has no colliders except for its wheels, you can drive through the wall that blocks your entry into the tunnel which connects all three islands. Make your way to Shoreside Vale and store your vehicle. Getting back to Portland Island is up to you. Use a boat from the pier in Staunton, or learn how to fly a dodo located on Francis International Airport.
I've heard about the Definitive Edition of GTA III with the problem of patches. Rockstar decided to patch the DP conversion with a release of 1.03 update. The definitive edition is a buggy mess and has many problems, but the DP conversion wasn't one of them. If you own the Definitive Edition and updated the game, you cannot use this conversion.

Final Note: The Kuruma according to the game files, has the colour under the name of Blue9, which I call Teal.
For those who play on either the OG Mobile and Definitive Edition if the patch you play on still can use the car crusher, you can use these missions if you require a mission scripted passenger for the DP conversion:

Drive Misty for Me - Misty again
The Fuzz Ball - any of the girls
The Getaway - Leone gang members
Triads and Tribulations - Leone gang members again
Kanbu Bust-Out - Yakuza Kanbu
Deal Steal - Yakuza gang member
Liberator - Old Oriental Gentleman
Marked Man - Ray Machowski
Rumble - Hoods gang member
I'd watch out on using the Yakuza gang member from the mission Deal Steal, since if you make a mistake with the car in ghost form, just by falling through blue hell, permanent blips will remain, even after the mission is passed. All other missions, had no effect, back when I played on the OG Mobile version.
