Grand Theft Auto V or GTA 5, has slowly become the very thing it sought to destroy. Rockstar Games and GTA Online have slowly corrupted the very meaning of Grand Theft Auto itself. Whether it's the shark cards, the GTA online microtransactions or the very nihilism of GTA 5's story itself, Grand Theft Auto has slowly become a parody of itself. While Red Dead Redemption 1 and 2 still have Rockstar's classic heart, and are more than the sum of their parts, gta 5 in particular is a mockery of itself and collapses the once pristine gta fantasy. GTA Online killed GTA 5.
