#SouthEastEngland has been vital to the UK’s fresh food supply for centuries and now the Growing Kent & Medway project is taking local produce #farming into a future as the UK leader in #climate-smart food production and processing.

Led by NIAB EMR and building on local research and innovation expertise, it is growing the local industry’s use of AI and smart packaging, making it more efficient and minimising waste, driving productivity and sustainable growth.

There are more benefits for the local community too - by 2030, Growing #Kent & Medway will create 1,700 jobs and add £39 million annually to the local economy. And it’s supported by £18 million from our #StrengthInPlaces Fund.
