In 1986 Dark Horse Miniatures released a five package set of Groo the Wanderer miniatures for playing with Dungeons & Dragons and other fantasy role playing games. This video takes a close up look at the figures and compares miniature painting along side with unpainted figures.
If you were fortunate enough to get a complete set of these Dark Horse Groo the Wanderer miniatures by Sergio Aragonés, you've got yourself some very rare and collectable RPG miniatures. Dark Horse also made a set of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles miniatures around the same time as these Groo figures.

Marvel comics used to publish Groo the Wanderer under the Epic Comics brand for artist owned comics. Before that Pacific Comics and Eclipse Comics published Groo the Wanderer. After Marvel Comics, Groo went to Image Comics for a year and for the longest time, Groo is published by Dark Horse Comics. Rufferto is Groo's Dog, Conan the Barbarian and Tarzan of the Apes have had crossover comics with Groo too.
