Irelandscapes | Greencastle Massey Ferguson 135, Carlingford Lough - (N Irish Farming Short Documentary & Scenery @Irelandscapes | Uploaded July 2021 | Updated October 2024, 6 hours ago.
It was all hands on deck for getting the grass harvest into the silo at this dairy farm yesterday. Great weather saw the last few grass harvests coming in across South County Down, and tourist traffic interspersed with tractors and farm trucks. From Greencastle there are some superb views of the mountains around Carlingford Lough, and the opportunity to hop on the ferry to Greenore for similar views of the North shore. Both Greenore and Carlingford have impressive Norman castles, overwatches on a highly productive trade route of sea and river. The vintage tractor featured is a Massey Ferguson 135 still getting a bit of work on this small, seaside dairy farm.
