The "Great Southern" is a luxury passenger train that runs from Adelaide to Brisbane , during certain times of the year. It has dedicated locomotives , painted in its colour scheme, but when not running, you'll find these units all over the network. During my visit to Stirling in Feb'22, an Eastbound Pacific National intermodal train had a pair of Great Southern units on the point. It's rare to see these locos, band to see two on a train is a treat!.
