Great Smoky Mountains Railroad: #1702 Light Run to Bryson City 11-26-2021.
On Black Friday 2021, we made our way back to the Smoky Mountains of North Carolina to see the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad once again. Coincidentally after doing an initial drive through Bryson City after visiting my family, we found that their steam locomotive #1702 (which is supposed to run on Friday) was nowhere to be seen in Bryson. So, the next morning, we found the 1702 at the Dillsboro shops fired up and ready to make the trek back to Bryson for the day's Tuckasegee River excursion. Which this move provided for some amazing morning light.
