Hi there and thanks for joining today. If you’re not positive as a leader, then who is going to set the positive tone in your organization? I get in trouble a lot of times when I tell leaders that there is no off day. You don’t have an “off day” in leadership. And nothing illustrates that point more than being able to maintain a positive attitude. Your team looks to you to see how they should react to whatever is going on in the organization. If your team is down on a particular day, week, month all you need to do is look in the mirror and take that hard look and see if you have conveyed that negative behavior before. People quit managers, they don’t quit companies. I know that was the case with me. I quit managers throughout my career. I never quit on a company. Never sell your authority and your importance to your team short. You have an enormous effect on them. So if you aren’t going to be positive, then who is? If something bad happens then you need to be the first one to pick yourself up, because that’s going to demonstrate to your team that they need to pick themselves up as well. Stay positive. Thank you.
