We left teleportation and now we move on to something scarier: the warping of light. No alkihol or shrooms involved! Just plain ol’ mathphyz ‘science’.

Mathemagicians claim that celestial objects are so heavy that they have the power to bend light. One question you should ponder in preparation for the lecture is whether the mathemagicians BENT a given photon particle or whether warped spacetime DEFLECTED the photon from its otherwise rectilinear path. Nevertheless, we discover in our search for the Holy Grail that gravitational lensing is nothing but the macro version of the slit experiment.
