In this vlog, we head to Grau-du-Roi on the French Mediterranean coast — a place so popular you actually have to book the camper park in advance. With that kind of demand, we were expecting something really special!
The harbour itself had a lovely feel, with colourful fishing boats and a real sense of working life still going on. But as we explored further, things quickly shifted into a much busier, tourist-heavy scene that just didn’t match what we were looking for.
The camper park was full and tightly packed, with people settling in for longer stays, which made it feel a bit too crowded for us to relax and enjoy. It’s clearly a very popular spot, but for us, it just didn’t have the right vibe.
After giving it a chance, we decided it was time to move on and head inland towards Provence in search of somewhere that suits us better.
Not every stop is a hit, and that’s all part of van life.
