🚐 Van Upgrade: Installing a Victron Multiplus 2000 Inverter (with Coffee Test!)

You might be wondering… why’s Matt wearing a torch on his head? Well, apart from looking a bit daft, he’s in the middle of a BIG upgrade to our van’s electrical system.
In this video we:
🔧 Remove our old 800W inverter
⚡ Install a brand new Victron Multiplus 2000VA inverter/charger
🔌 Fit heavy-duty cables, a 300A mega fuse, and ventilation
📱 Add a VE.Bus Smart Dongle for Bluetooth control via the Victron app
☕ Put it all to the test… with the most important appliance of all: the coffee machine!
This upgrade gives us way more flexibility for off-grid living — from running the fridge to powering up future additions in the van. It wasn’t without a few hiccups (and a trip to Toolstation), but it’s all up and running.
