Granular Philosophy is a Pure Data patch,
a sampler designed for granular processing of audio samples.
Each voice loads an audio file and extracts micro-fragments (grains), with position, duration, and playback speed controllable via sliders.
The three voices are mixed into a single output, which can be shaped using the individual gain of each voice.
By loading this patch into Plugdata (a free downloadable application),
you can effectively turn Pure Data patches into plugins,
making them usable in any DAW.

Sunset Drum Machine – A Filter-Based Drum Synth for Max for Live
Sunset Drum Machine is a minimal yet powerful Max for Live drum synth that generates all its sounds from scratch—without using any samples. The kick drum is built from a pure sine wave, while snare and hi-hats are shaped from pink and white noise using filter sculpting techniques.
At the heart of Sunset Drum Machine is a simple 3-row, 16-step sequencer. Each row corresponds to a drum voice and allows flexible pattern programming. You can adjust the rhythmic scan speed, linked to Ableton’s global tempo, for each voice. Filter types and parameters can be customized in real time through an intuitive graphical interface.
Additional features include step randomization per row and independent randomization of snare and hi-hat filter settings. Since all sounds are synthesized from basic waveforms and noise, they are highly responsive to external effects—perfect for crafting modern electronic textures or vintage-inspired rhythms with an ‘80s feel.
