On Sept. 20, 2023, KULT News made an unannounced visit to the tiny village of Yellow Springs, OH where we encountered a local legendary businesswoman we’ll not soon forget.
Police were called and dispatched and they responded promptly. Would the 911 dispatcher and/or the responding officers know our rights or would they blow things out of proportion or even try to violate our rights?

Laws may vary but, generally speaking, in the United States, if you are in public you are legally able to photograph whatever you can see. Simply put, your eyes can’t be trespassed. Obviously there are some restrictions on this (i.e., bathrooms, dressing rooms, most courtrooms, locker rooms, etc.) but with very few, when you are in public, if you can see it, you can shoot it (this rule only applies to cameras.)
