499/529 was thought to be the max for this stage's extra mission - the 30 rings from the Team Dark path that Team Sonic is not supposed to reach were considered too far out of the way.

Had this unlisted for a few weeks but it had no reason to be...listing just in case anyone wants tips on ring attacking this mission.

Edit: forgot to mention I used savestates when I re-listed. Should be pretty obvious though.
