This might be one of my new favorite pairings 🤩
I’m still very much getting to know Grackle, but so far every patch has so much range and flexibility, which is awesome.
I’m always amazed by how even simple interaction can completely transform how something sounds and behaves in a modular synthesizer. Controlling the same oscillator with a keyboard vs a joystick for example, can yield entirely unique and different results.
Here’s a fun challenge for anyone who’s interested this week: try interacting with your favorite instrument or sound source in a completely new way. Always turn knobs? Try using a mic input through a preamp as a control source. Or a MIDI controller, or a random voltage, etc.!
PS: Many of these ideas can be explored for free using virtual synths like VCV Rack.
PPS: Go to the link in bio and find Free intro to Modular Synth Mini Course if you want the link to my free introductory training on modular synthesis using VCV Rack!
