Governor Tim Walz has officially authorized state disaster emergency assistance for several counties in southern and central Minnesota following severe summer storms, flash flooding, and tornadoes.

Rebuilding funds will head to Fillmore, Houston, Mower, Winona, Becker, and Crow Wing counties to repair critical public infrastructure, with total assistance packages to be finalized as remaining damage assessments wrap up.
