Hello hello!!
Since I still don't have my April kit yet... this month's kit is one that is released later in the month... I am still working with a few kits from my stash. This particular layout used a Gossamer Blue kit from September 2016, their Life Pages kit at the time but used for a 12x12 layout today...
This layout really turned out fairly simple, but I wanted the focus to really be on the photos and not the embellishments. These photos are from Calen's first day of school for Kindergarten so it's a really big deal. I wanted to keep this layout all about him and his first day... not so much about showcasing products I love (I hope that makes sense!).
This kit, though it's really more focused on being used for Project Life styled pages, really had a lot of school themed things in it so it really worked with this page. I just had to pull out a 12x12 paper to use for the background. I found this really pretty teal and white polka dot paper in my stash to work with.
