It was fascinating to come across two pairs of white Red Junglefowls.
The male appeared especially regal, strutting around with his chest puffed up, as if aware of his exceptionally handsome looks. Two females loitered around him while another white male kept his distance. No price for guessing which was the dominant male! 😂
These are possibly hybrids of the Red Junglefowl. Interestingly, the male retained white ear patches and pale legs, both of which are characteristics of its wild counterpart.
Red Junglefowls are common residents in Singapore.
