This video entitled, GOOD or BAD photography practice? I ask the question should we swap skies to make our pictures look better?
I recently photographed the Angel of the North. It's a contemporary sculpture designed by Antony Gormley and is erected in Gateshead, North East England. It was an ok picture but nothing anymore! The lighting was ok but the sky just looked boring. Blue cloudless skies, a photographer's worst-case scenario.

I remembered that Photoshop had recently added a new feature to Photoshop aptly called "Sky Replacement" I've tried other software boasting the same features before but the results just weren't great. I wasn't hoping for too much. Cutting to the chase, I was staggered by how fantastic the results were. It really is as simple as select the sky, click and drag. It's incredibly easy to use and the results are mind-blowing!
But... here's the thing, is it right? is it ethical? does it stray away from the very soul of being a landscape photographer?
So many questions, there's only one way to find out, let's have a heated debate!
